Infiniti's new QX50, introduced as a concept at the 2017 Detroit auto show in January, has been spotted undergoing high-altitude testing. The production version captured by photographers closely resembles the crossover concept. The QX50 will ride on a new fwd platform shared with other Renault and Nissan vehicles, marking a change from the current vehicle's rwd setup. Infiniti's new 2.0-litre variable compression turbocharged engine will make its production debut in the QX50. Inside, it features a revised gear shifter, relocated push-start button, along with the addition of a couple of cupholders The new QX50 should debut by the end of 2017 and go on sale in early 2018. “Infiniti is preparing for new and updated crossovers and sport utility vehicles, including the all-new QX50,” Infiniti Canada spokeswoman Jennifer McCarthy said in an email to Automotive News Canada.
