The 2019 BMW Z4 marks the return of the German luxury automaker's two-door roadster, which was discontinued in 2016, ending a 14-year run. The newest BMW Z4 shares a platform with Toyota’s revived Supra sports car to keep engineering and development costs in check. BMW took the lead in the creation of the common platform under a joint agreement signed in 2012. The automaker unwrapped the 2019 BMW Z4 M40i First Edition roadster in Pebble Beach, Calif. It was previewed as a concept a year ago in Pebble Beach.

For the 2019 model year, Honda has touched up the face of the Civic with a restyled lower fascia, bumper and lower grille, a full-width front splitter, chrome side pod accents, and updated headlights. Honda also added a new trim: Sport. Sport trim is positioned between the LX and EX and adds black accents and black 18-inch wheels.

The first photographs of Honda's revived Passport crossover have emerged undergoing road tests in California. The all-new crossover will slot between the CR-V and Pilot and is expected to be about six inches shorter than the Pilot and compete with the Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and Nissan Murano in the midsize crossover segment. It is expected to be powered by a 3.5-litre V-6 engine. It could be unveiled as early at the 2018 Los Angeles auto show in November.

Spy photos of BMW's electric 3 series, referred to as a Tesla Model 3 fighter, have emerged in Europe. The range for the electric 3 series is unknown, but it should deliver 400 to 480 kilometres on a full charge if it expects to compete with the Model 3.

Unlike previous spy shots of the midengine Chevrolet Corvette production model, recent photos of the racer version have no heavy camouflage. The race car, reportedly called the C8.R, is expected to share similar characteristics with its production counterpart. While GM has not confirmed plans for a midengine Corvette, the long-rumoured and highly anticipated car is expected to arrive in the next year or so as a 2020 model. The C8.R is expected to compete in the GT-class and replace the current C7.R.

The McLaren 600LT, the LT stands for "Longtail," gets its name from a body that is 2.9 inches longer than a 570S coupe. Track-ready features include an extended front splitter, lengthened rear diffuser and a fixed rear wing -- all composed of carbon fibre. The 600LT is also equipped with a top-exit exhaust system, which McLaren says contributes to additional weight savings.

According to Autoweek, the 2019 Toyota 86 TRD Special Edition features improved grip, improved brakes, improved aerodynamics and a host of cosmetic changes. The “Ultimate Performance” 86 adds bigger Brembo brakes (12.8 inches front with four-piston calipers and 12.4/two-caliper rear), Sachs dampers and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. The limited edition will have a production run of 1,418, Toyota says. The automaker told Automotive News Canada that the Canadian model won’t be equipped with the side TRD decals. More Canadian details are due out in early August.

Porsche has updated its Macan crossover with a fresher design, improved handling, and more comfort and connectivity features. The automaker said it reworked the front end to make the vehicle appear even wider while overhauling the rear, which now has a three-dimensional LED light strip. Inside, the Macan's touchscreen display on the console has been enlarged to 11 inches from 7 inches previously.

Audi has made the Q3 bigger and added more tech and connectivity equipment as part of second-generation engineering changes to the tiny crossover. The Q3 switches to parent Volkswagen Group's flexible MQB architecture from an older platform. Inside, the Q3 has a new digital instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch diagonal multimedia screen that comes standard in all models. The Q3 will go on sale in 2019.

Genesis expects the 2019 G70 sport sedan to draw younger customers, more women and those who are tech-savvy. The entry-level luxury sedan has a 252-hp 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine available with an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual variant. It is also available with a 365-hp 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V-6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
