An unlikely battleground has emerged in the race to develop autonomous vehicles: tollbooths. Renault and PSA are working with partners to make sure their models can handle the exchanges without help from the driver.
Renault-Nissan is recruiting a new second-in-command for the alliance, Reuters reported. The move is designed to prepare for Carlos Ghosn's succession. Nissan's Jose Munoz and Yasuhiro Yamauchi, and Renault's Stefan Mueller, are said to be among candidates.
