Canadians are on pace to buy a record 2.1 million new vehicles in 2017, a sign that “clearly we are out there loving our vehicles,” says CTV News' chief financial commentator.
But, Pattie Lovett-Reid has a warning.
“We’re buying too much car, we’re spending too much and we’re extending it over a long period of time,” she said during an appearance on the Business News Network. “Sure, that’s good for the auto industry. But from a consumer’s perspective, I’m not so sure.”
