Linamar CEO Linda Hasenfratz says innovation is a “top priority” for the Canadian auto parts maker.
Hasenfratz told Business News Network May 11 the company has “an enormous amount activity going on at the moment” when it comes to innovation. Without providing details, she said the company is working with “several universities” on “many, many projects.”
“We look at innovation from material development, product development and process development both on the shop floor and in the offices,” she said.
Hasenfrazt also said Canada, the United States and Mexico should work together to increase free trade and lower operating costs for auto companies and sticker prices for consumers when the three countries renegotiate NAFTA.
