The 2018 Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association Conference and Exhibition is being moved from Caesars Windsor Casino due to an ongoing strike by Unifor there.
The conference will still take place in Windsor on June 5 and 6 as scheduled, but will be housed at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts, which will accommodate the full schedule of events planned, according to the APMA.
Attendees who were going to stay at the Caesars Windsor hotel can stay at the Best Western Waterfront Hotel instead.
The APMA will be communicating with exhibitors and sponsors with updated logistics, the association said on its website.
About 600 people attend the annual two-day conference.
APMA President Flavio Volpe told AM 800 News in Windsor that the association has always had a contingency plan in place.
“It was just a function of deciding to pull the trigger," he told the radio station.
