The Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) and its provincial associations have launched a program designed to match job seekers with careers in the auto industry.
Auto Career Start targets millennials, women, new Canadians and military veterans with a new online platform at autocareerstart.com. It lists jobs from across Canada and provides auto career resources.
Dealers currently employ 150,000 people nationwide and that number is growing.
“The auto sector is experiencing tremendous growth and as a result, dealers across Canada are in immediate need of new talent to fill a variety of full-time positions,” says CADA marketing specialist Astrid Mauger.
He said job seekers generally aren’t aware of all the opportunities that exist at dealerships.
“We now have a national plan to change that perception.”
The website also provides, among other helpful features, a link to job boards for every province and territory.
