Mitsubishi Canada has announced pricing and trim lines for the second-generation Outlander plug-in hybrid.
The midsize crossover base ES S-AWCwill start at $48,438, including shipping, but before any applicable provincial or federal electric-vehicle rebates.
The 2023 Outlander will be available at five different price points. The other four are: LE S-AWC at $53,138, the SEL-S-AWC at $55,948, the GT-SAWC at $58,248 and the GT-Premium S-AWC, which starts at $58,848. Every model is all-wheel drive and seats seven. All prices include shipping.
The new Outlander PHEV, which shares a platform with alliance partner Nissan's Rogue crossover, features a beefy battery and powerful electric motors.
It also offers quick charging and one-pedal-style driving, technologies typically reserved for fully electric vehicles.
The PHEV system received significant upgrades, including a 20-kilowatt-hour battery, which the automaker says is the "biggest in the segment."
Mitsubishi Canada says the Outlander’s electric-only range has been extended to 61 km while the overall range has been increased to 687 km from a 350-volt, 20kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
The Outlander is set to go on sale in November.
