Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is bringing a dose of old and new to the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show. The automaker is showcasing two pickup concepts at the event, which runs Nov. 5-8 in Las Vegas.
The Ram 1500 Rebel OTG (Off The Grid) concept is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts who need to use their pickups for both travel and lodging. The Mopar Lowliner concept, a refurbished 1968 Dodge D200-series heavy-duty pickup, is a nod to old-school design.
The OTG is based on the 2020 Ram 1500 that's powered by the new 3.0-litre V-6 EcoDiesel engine. The truck is packed with Mopar concept accessories, including a front bumper with an "integrated winch, larger grille with flow-through [Ram] badging and a functional snorkel air intake to improve off-road capability and performance."
It's outfitted with a tent on the roof and a slide-out kitchen in the bed with a gas stove and a sink supplied by an onboard water system.
