As the market fills with high-performance luxury crossovers and SUVs, Jaguar is taking no chances with the F-Pace, the brand's best-selling vehicle. The 2021 model is receiving new powertrains, revamped styling, an upgraded infotainment system and several chassis improvements.
Jaguar Land Rover's Ingenium inline six-cylinder, a double-overhead-cam, 24-valve 3.0-litre, is available with either 340 or 395 hp. Both versions feature a turbocharger and a supercharger. They also come equipped with Jaguar's mild hybrid system that captures energy while the vehicle is braking, stores it in a 48-volt lithium ion battery and uses the electricity to assist the engine when the vehicle is accelerating.
The 3.0-litre engine, one of the most technically advanced on the market, replaces both Ford-sourced V-6 and V-8 engines. An Ingenium 2.0-litre turbo four rated at 246 hp remains F-Pace's base engine in the United States but will not be offered in Canada. All 2021 F-Pace models are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
