As Infiniti reinvents its product portfolio and brand strategy, the Japanese automaker's latest model returns to a market segment it helped invent.
The QX55 coupe-style crossover positions Infiniti in the high-margin sporty crossover segment now dominated by German brands.
It will come in three trims: Luxe, Essential ProAssist and Sensory. The base price is $54,090, shipping included. All-wheel drive, 20-inch wheels and wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility come standard.
All three trims are powered by a 268-horsepower VC-turbo engine paired to a continuously variable transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and manual mode.
By comparison, the QX50 has a base price of $47,590.
