Automotive News Canada’s Take Five is a look at five new, refreshed or retooled vehicles that are destined for or have recently entered the Canadian market.
1) 2020 BMW M8
The new 8 series (shown above) is getting the M treatment, and it’s the most powerful model in the brand’s performance line to date. The base M8 — available as a coupe and a convertible — comes with a 600-horsepower 4.4-litre V-8, with the Competition trim rated at 617. The base coupe hits 100 km/h from rest in a claimed 3.3 seconds and the convertible in 3.4, while the Competition trims get there in 3.2 and 3.3, respectively. BMW says the top speed for all is electronically limited to 250 km/h, though that rises to 300 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package. The M8 will reach Canadian showrooms in the third quarter. Pricing has not been announced.
2) 2020 TOYOTA SIENNA
