Kijiji Autos, a division of classified-ad website Kijiji, is offering Canadian auto dealers some financial incentives to continue online advertising during the global novel coronavirus pandemic.
Kijiji Autos is waiving all listing and feature subscription fees for all auto dealers during April. It’s also extending payment terms to 90 days for all services in March.
“We recognize the pressures that our customers are facing,” Leanne Kripp, head of autos at Kijiji, said in a statement. “We all have a role to play in helping the community as the COVID-19 situation evolves. We are focused on how Kijiji Autos, as a team and a platform, can operate in the best interest of our customers in this time of uncertainty.”
All current listings from dealer customers will remain live on the platform at this time, “in order to support the automotive industry for a recovery when the situation stabilizes.”
Kijiji, a unit of eBay International, touts itself as the most visited Canadian auto site, with five million visitors a month.
