In a bid to spur sales of electric vehicles, Kia Canada has established its first EV experience centre in Vancouver.
The centre, launched in April, is designed to teach consumers the benefits of driving an EV and fill the knowledge gap that appears to dissuade consumers from going the electric route, said Elias El-Achhab, vice-president and COO of Kia Canada.
“Education is definitely an important piece,” said El-Achhab, who was part of an executive roundtable on electrification, one of a recent series of Automotive News Canada Congress Conversations.

The auto industry has a key role to play in raising public awareness about EVs, said executives who participated in the discussion, moderated by Automotive News Publisher Jason Stein.
