Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry Francois-Phillipe Champagne says his “next thing is going to be green semiconductors” for the auto industry.
He made the comments recently to Brian Platt while appearing on Bloomberg TV.
Champagne talked about the electric-vehicle supply chain and hinted at what might come next for the Canadian auto industry.
“People are looking for goods to be greener and for production to be greener and that plays to Canada’s strength. Our goal is to be the green supplier of choice to the world,” Champagne said.
He listed green steel, green aluminum and green batteries as products made more cleanly in Canada.
