Leading Women Roundtables
Despite a greater focus by employers and society on diversity, equity and inclusion, the gender gap in the auto industry remains. However, some progress is being made to attract, retain and advance the careers of more women thanks to initiatives like flexible work arrangements, mentorship programs and the emergence of technology, according to panelists who participated in Automotive News Canada's third annual Leading Women Roundtable.
The first focused on retail, with Shannon Slaughter from Pembrooke Hyundai, Brittany Deveau from Bruce Hyundai, Suzannah Spence, Scotiabank Auto Finance and Claudia Sciama from Google Canada.
The second spotlighted automakers and suppliers, with Anne Marie Desando from Scotiabank Auto Finance, Greta Cutulenco from Acerta AI, Kristina Covello-Garcia of Hyundai Auto Canada.
