FCA Canada is recalling 5,060 Dodge Journeys because a reflector in the front headlight assembly doesn’t meet federal safety regulations.
According to a recall notice on Transport Canada’s website, the front amber side reflex reflector fails to meet Canadian standards.
“This may cause the vehicle to be less visible to others and could create an increased risk of a crash,” Transport Canada warns.
The affected vehicles are from the 2017 and 2018 model years.
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the headlight assemblies.
Journey sales are down 57 per cent to 1,915 units through July when compared to the same month last year. Sales of the crossover fell 58 per cent to 5,777 units in 2018.
