Infiniti Canada has launched a program designed to maximize social distancing and other health and safety measures during the vehicle-buying process as the global COVID-19 pandemic drags on.
Infiniti Now emphasizes online shopping and contactless test drives. It provides a one-on-one, person digital shopping tool designed to connect customers to retailers, who will assist them with everything from browsing inventory and choosing trim and options to scheduling test drives and final documentation of a sale.
“Scouting for, and securing a new vehicle these days is different than it was a few months ago. At Infiniti, we saw this as an opportunity to make the customer experience more seamless for everyone involved,” Jennifer Dobbs, senior manager of marketing communications at Infiniti Canada, said in a statement.
The company said “vehicle shopping is still very much a sensory, hands-on experience.” So, customers can explore vehicles online, and then arrange for a test drive at a dealership, or by getting a vehicle dropped off to a location of their choosing – all done without coming in contact with anyone from a dealership.
Once a potential buyer completes a form on the automaker’s website, a remote dealer consultation is scheduled. Customers can then choose between the contactless pick-up or drop-off for a test drive.
Infiniti says a “strict sanitization process will be then made on the vehicle of their choice.”
The automaker says it has provided its dealers with detailed guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting vehicles and customer lounges, based on the recommendations of provincial health authorities.
