    The Policaro Group

The Policaro Group, headquarted in Brampton, has broken ground on a new store that will become the company’s second BMW dealership in the Greater Toronto Area and its closest one to the downtown Toronto core.

The new dealership will be located in Etobicoke, between Mississauga and the City of Toronto, and accessible just off the QEW highway a number of 400 Series highways, which the group says is a key point in the company’s intent to attract customers from multiple points in the Greater Toronto Area. The 65,000-square-foot dealership is scheduled to open some time in 2022.

The dealer group said the store is designed to meet BMW’s latest Global Corporate Image and incorporate the latest in electric-vehicle infrastructure.

The new dealership is part of an overall brand strategy the Policaro Group has of building three new stores and moving exclusively to retailing premium luxury brands. It will be the company’s most ambitious plan in its 40-year history. The group didn't say how much the project will cost.

Policaro Group’s CEO Francesco Policaro said in a news release the dealership further enhances its partnership with BMW Group Canada.

“With its highly visible location, proximity to downtown Toronto and BMW Etobicoke will be a recognizable landmark,” Policaro said.

Reiner Braun, President & CEO of BMW Group Canada, lauded the Policaro Group’s undertaking.

“This facility and their investment into the brand further demonstrates Policaro Group’s commitment to a successful future with BMW, a future which will be more digital, more electric and more sustainable,” he said.
