Taiwan-based supplier eyes Canada for copper foil plant to supply EV battery makers

Chang Chun Petrochemical — Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli would not comment on the talks with Chang Chun, but said the province is focused on bringing further battery investments, including those in copper foil production, to Ontario. A Taiwan-based industrial company is eyeing Ontario for the development of a copper foil manufacturing plant, as overseas battery materials producers continue to establish footholds in North America.
