Edmonton sinkhole swallows cars at Infiniti dealership

A sink hole swallowed four vehicles at an Edmonton luxury car dealership, according to several media reports.

The earth beneath Infiniti South Edmonton's parking lot opened up early Tuesday morning leading the cars to fall inside.

Two of the vehicles were new cars, one was used and the fourth was a customer’s car waiting for service, according to CTV News Edmonton.

Lucky Uppal, who works at the Mercedes-Benz dealership next door, said his store’s video surveillance caught the incident on camera.

“Around 12 o’clock [Tuesday morning], you could see them slowly collapsing into the ground,” he told CTV News.

A cause for the sinkhole hasn’t been identified.
