Global automaker Stellantis is pouring billions of dollars — a commitment of $8.6 billion so far — into Canada’s nascent electric-vehicle industry and is halfway to its goal of hiring 650 research engineers, said David Buckingham, CEO of FCA Canada. FCA remains the company’s legal name in Canada despite the global name change to Stellantis.
